Description
The coins are circular in shape, with a raised rim on both the obverse and reverse sides. The sides of the coins are ribbed.
Obverse
In a circle framed by a geometric ornament is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus, under which is indicated the year of minting, and for silver coins, the pure mass of precious metal and the alloy standard; inscriptions around the circle: at the top – “REPUBLIC OF BELARUS”, at the bottom – “TWO RUBLES” – on silver coins and “ADZIN RUBEL” – on copper-nickel coins.
Reverse
In the center is a relief image of the entrance to the cell and the cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, which is a priceless shrine of the Belarusian people (executed on a silver coin in gold), on the left is the inscription "Euphrosyne of Polotsk 900", on the right is a relief image of the figure of Euphrosyne of Polotsk.
