Description
The coins are shaped like regular polygons with eight corners, with a raised border on both the obverse and reverse sides. The sides of the coins are notched.
Obverse
At the top is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus, next to which is the inscription: REPUBLIC OF BELARUS; in the center is an excerpt from a poem by Yanka Kupala on a stylized image of a wing, under it on the left is the year of minting (on a silver coin – the alloy standard); at the bottom is the denomination: 10 RUBLES (on a silver coin) and 1 RUBLE (on a copper-nickel coin).
Reverse
In the center are stylized images of the modern building of the National Library of Belarus and books in the form of birds flying through the octagon; at the top is the inscription: NATIONAL LIBRARY OF BELARUS. 100 GAD.
