Description
The coins are circular, with a raised rim on both the obverse and reverse sides. The sides of the coins are notched.
Obverse
At the top is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center is an image of the Zhirovichi Monastery complex; inscriptions around the circle: at the top – THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS; at the bottom – 100 RUBLES (on silver) and 1 RUBLE (on copper-nickel), the year of minting (on silver – the alloy standard).
Reverse
In the center is a relief image of a revered copy of the Zhirovichi Icon of the Mother of God; around the circle is the inscription: "550 GADOU ZDABYTSTSYA TSUDATVORNAY ZHYROVITSKAYA ІKONY BOZHAY MATSI".
