Description
The coin is circular in shape, with a raised edge on both the obverse and reverse sides, and a notched edge.
Obverse
At the top is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center of the coin, within a circle, is an image of a fragment of a one-sided belt produced at the Slutsk Manufactory (1776–1780) and located in the collection of the National Museum of the History and Culture of Belarus (on the silver coin, the belt fragment is made using pad printing); along the outer circle at the top is the inscription: REPUBLIC OF BELARUS; on the left is the year of minting, on the right is the alloy standard (on the silver coin) and an artistic element (on the copper-nickel coin), at the bottom is the denomination: 20 RUBLES (on the silver coin) and 1 RUBLE (on the copper-nickel coin).
Reverse
On the left, in a circle, is the inscription: SLUTSKY PAYASY. NOBLE STORY; on the left is an image of a man (a nobleman) in traditional costume, belted with a Slutsk belt; on the right is a stylized image of his family tree as a symbol of the noble family.
