Description
The coins are circular, with a raised rim on both the obverse and reverse sides. The edges are ribbed. The surface of the coins is oxidized.
Obverse
In a circle framed by a geometric ornament is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center is a solar sign consisting of an eight-pointed geometric figure with decorative elements, symbolizing the sun's rays; below it is indicated: the year of minting, on the silver coin - the alloy standard; around the circle are the inscriptions: at the top - THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS, below the denomination - TWO RUBLES (on the silver coin) and ADZIN RUBEL (on the copper-nickel coin).
Reverse
The center depicts a honeycomb, an apple tree (the silver coin features an insert of an orange synthetic crystal imitating a ripe apple), and a sheaf of rye—symbols of the honey, apple, and bread Saviors. On the sides are relief elements of the Belarusian national ornament; at the bottom, in a circle, is the inscription: SPASY.
