Description
The coins are circular, with a raised rim on both the obverse and reverse sides. The sides of the coins are notched.
Obverse
At the top is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and the inscription around the circle: REPUBLIC OF BELARUS; in the center is a fragment of the new building of the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk; on the silver coin, the sky above the museum building is a hologram with an image of a festive fireworks display; below: on the right is the year of minting, on the left is the alloy standard (on the silver coin), in the center is the denomination: 20 RUBLES (on the silver coin) and 1 RUBLE (on the copper-nickel coin).
Reverse
In the center is a decorative composition consisting of three paper airplanes hovering above a blossoming cherry tree; the inscriptions are: at the top in a circle – Вываленные БЕЛАРУСІ, on the left – 70 ГАДОЎ.
