Description
The coins are round (gold and copper-nickel coins have a raised rim around the circumference). The edges of gold and silver coins are unmarked, while copper-nickel coins have a kerf.
Obverse
In the center, framed by a circle consisting of 12 symbols of the zodiac signs, is an image of the Sun and the Moon, below it is the astrological sign of Scorpio and the inscriptions: in Latin - SCORPIO, in Belarusian - СКАРПІЁН; at the top is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; at the bottom left is the year of minting (on the gold and silver coins on the right is the alloy standard and the mint mark of Poland); around the circle are the inscriptions: at the top - РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ; below is the denomination - 100 РУБЛЁЎ (on the gold coin), 20 РУБЛЁЎ (on the silver coin) and 1 РУБЛЁЎ (on the copper-nickel coin).
Reverse
In the center is a stylized image of a scorpion (on the silver coin, the eyes have synthetic crystal inserts) framed by a geometric pattern.
